The opportunity:

Linc Cymru are offering the exciting opportunity to join our team as a Deputy House Manager at Flint House, working 24 hours a week.

Abbeyfield House Flint is a supported (sheltered) house offering retirement living to older people who want to remain independent without the worry of maintaining their own home.

You will be responsible for the health, safety, and wellbeing of the residents and developing a homely, welcoming, safe, and well managed environment for residents to thrive and feel included within the local community.  Please read the attached job description for further information on this role.

What we need from you:

 

  • Communication skills – you’ll work closely with the House Manager, domestic as well as the residents and their families, so it is important that you are friendly, approachable, and welcoming.
  • Team player – you’ll be working as part of a team so you should be able to work alongside others well, but also use your own initiative to work alone when required too.
  • Great customer serviceskills – as well communication skills, you should be able to provide excellent customer service. Our residents are our customer, so we are looking for someone who can go above and beyond to provide excellent customer service.
  • Working knowledge of health and safety procedures – getting the job done safely is key. You’ll need to have a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate   and knowledge of basic dietary and nutritional requirements. If not, don’t worry as we’ll provide training and support you through it.
  • You will be responsible for preparing and serving meals along with setting up the dining room and with all aspects of meal preparations and the daily close down of the kitchen.
  • An Enhanced DBS check will need to be carried out for this role.
